Scope and Contents
This document consists of five pages of remarks made by President Transue at the President's Panel on Race and Pedagogy, held at the Fieldhouse on the University of South Puget Sound. it was attended by leadership from several other institutions: Bill Robinson, representing Whitworth College, Steve Sundborg, representing Seattle University, Beverly Tatum, representing Spelman College, and Ron Thomas, who served as moderator for the panel, from the University of Puget Sound. The emphasis on this panel was to address prejudice and social justice, as well as the achievement gap in education between students of color and European American students. This document is five paperclipped, single-spaced, single sided pages. It contains just a few minor edits in black pen.
