This twenty page paper-clipped packet consists primarily of remarks made by President Transue to the Community College Leadership Program at Oregon State University. It also contains three pages of email correspondence between TCC and Oregon State. Topics of discussion included Federal Relations as it regards WIA, Perkins, TANF, and Pell Grants, as well as publications, media relations, global education, and other topics that are of general importance to the AACC.

This document is primarily concerned with the funding problems facing two year colleges. It was written by President Transue and faculty members Brian Ebersole, Michelle Johnson, and Sharon McGavick (President, Clover Park Technical College). The final page is a revenue chart titled "Where has all the Revenue Gone" and serves as a visual aid to the paper.

This document consists primarily of remarks and a program for the April 2002 Professional Development Day. The remarks were delivered by President Pamela Transue, beginning with a quote from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. It also contains several edits and notations in blue ballpoint ink.

This paper primarily consists of President Transue's remarks to the Plenary Sessions 2nd World Congress. The title of this paper was "The Great Divide." The tone of the paper differs greatly from other documents in the collection. It appears that this could be around the time of the beginning of the schism between the college and the Pleneurethics Society.

This document consists primarily of remarks made to the Gig Harbor Rotary Club by President of Tacoma Community College, Pamela Transue. This presentation served as an opportunity for the president to promote both TCC and the Gig Harbor campus. A good portion of the document is tied to updates on funding and enrollment. It also contains several examples from Ohio students' 6th grade history tests.

Email from Dan Small to President Transue regarding a brief interview with Bob Pederson of the Community College Times, and containing a number of questions that will be asked. Additionally, Dan Small included enrollment and FTE information to assist President Transue in her preparedness. There are also a number of handwritten remarks, points, and questions on the second page, written in black gel ink.

This document is a short speech delivered as part of the one year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks by President Transue. She calls for a few minutes of silence to honor those lost, and Dan Small proceeds to ring a bell. This was commonly done in many areas around the country on this day. Students were invited to share their thoughts as well.

Professional Development Days remarks delivered by President Transue for the fall 2002 academic year. Also included in this packet is a diversity initiative, and a copy of a draft calendar outline containing itinerary for the three day event.

These documents are primarily concerned with an op-ed written by President Transue on the value of two year colleges and the importance of higher education in a community. In addition to President Transue's paper, there are two email attachments between President Transue and David Seago relating to the drafting and final publication of the article.

This document serves as President Transue's outline for the NWASCU Commission on Colleges meeting. It contains additional attachments, including a letterhead thanking President Transue for serving and speaking, and a primer page provided by the Commission on Colleges to the presenters to help them frame their remarks against the wider context of the discussion taking place. The outline is handwritten in black ballpoint pen.
