Speeches and presentations, 1982-2004
Scope and Contents
Spanning a period from 1982-2014, this series of speeches and presentations from President Transue's professional career spans three colleges. Beginning in the 1980s during her time as William P. Gerberding's special assistant at the University of Washington, to her first presidency at Portland Community College, and culminating in a lengthy career at the Tacoma Community College, this series contains drafts and copies for various organizations, including the AACC, the WSBCTC, the Tacoma Community College Women's Foundation, and even general training and professional development days functions held annually at the college. Materials are largely textual, although graphic materials can be found throughout. Nearly all of the documents consist of 8 1/2 x 11 pages paperclipped together, double spaced, and single sided.
A number of these speeches were also accessioned as digital copies; those have been denoted in the scope and contents notes and container/location data in the records of the individual speeches.
