Pamela Transue administration, circa 1997-2014
Scope and Contents
This series is made up of five hollinger boxes, consisting primarily of information from the time of the Pamela Transue administration. She began serving TCC as the President in 1997, and retired in 2014. The materials in this series are varied, and contain general committee and board notes and letters, but also plans for visits from heads of state, monarchs, other college presidents, celebrities, authors, and more. Additionally, speeches and presentations, in many cases composed by Pamela Transue herself, make up a remarkable portion of her series, and trace her very active involvement at the local, state, regional, and national level in working to promote the college and improve upon its successes. Many of these materials also contain handwritten edits. While many of them are believed to be Pamela Transue's, others may be the work of people like Dan Small, or others who worked closely with President Transue on a regular basis. Records in this series outline meetings with governors, senators, and congressmen and women representing the local district. Budgetary and economic impact information abounds as well, and the materials should be complete enough to serve as a jumping off point for research into budgetary and economic patterns as they are concerned by the decision-making process at the state and national level, and how they can be impacted.
Please be sure to see the notes at the file level in the Transue series.
