"Pre-Instructional Remarks" and "Visions of the Future", September 14, 1998

These remarks were given by President Transue at the beginning of her second year as president of Tacoma Community College. This document is primarily concerned with introducing new administrators to the campus staff and faculty, as well as an overview of the year's budget, efforts at community outreach, and the topic of new students arriving to campus. Included with these remarks is a copy of a document titled "Vision of the Future." This document serves as a guide to navigating emerging community college and educational needs with innovation and flexibility, without sacrificing academic expectations. Overhead notes are presented as well, including a review of the institutions top priorities for the coming years.
