Scrapbook, February 1968
Scope and Contents
This scrapbook was made to commemorate the official campus dedication ceremonies in February 1968, after Tacoma Community College ceased to be part of the Tacoma School District and began a new chapter under the jurisdiction of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.
The scrapbook contains 19 black and white photographs, numerous clippings, event programs, and a letter, all relating to the various dedication ceremonies for the campus, which included dedication of the Fine Arts building, the campus dedication, and the presidential installation ceremony. Photos depict these events along with views of the young campus. The letter is one of thanks from Tacoma Public Schools Superintendent Angelo Giaudrone, for whom the Fine Arts building was named. There are a number of blank pages toward the end of the scrapbook.
