Tacoma Community College dedication scrapbook
Scope and Contents
This scrapbook was made to commemorate the official campus dedication ceremonies in February 1968, after Tacoma Community College ceased to be part of the Tacoma School District and began a new chapter under the jurisdiction of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. The scrapbook contains photographs, newspaper clippings, and a few pieces of printed ephemera.
Please note that this collection has been renumbered from M-004 to TCCA-004.

Historical Note
At the October 26, 1967 Board of Trustees meeting, Tacoma Community College President Dr. Thornton Ford asked for authority to submit recommendations for the dedication of the campus at the next board meeting. The recommendations included a proposal to name the Fine Arts Building in honor of Dr. Angelo Giaudrone; that proposal was subsequently approved by the Board. At the November 30, 1967 meeting of the Board, it was agreed that the dedication be held on February 15-16, 1968.
