Biographical Note

Ronald Magden was a longstanding member of the Tacoma Community College community, having begun teaching at TCC in 1965 as one of the original faculty members and continuing for many years until his retirement. A recipient of the Morray Morgan award, Dr. Magden was a historian and author on local history. Dr. Magden contributed significantly to the documentation of local and TCC history. Dr. Magden passed away the week of Jan 2nd, 2019, age 92.

Abstract

The collection contains informal interviews with prominent figures from the school's history as well as photographs, video, and audio recordings documenting the early years of the school.
