Biographical note
Robert E. Hunt Jr. was born May 7, 1931. After graduating from Stadium High School in 1949, he went on to attend the University of Washington and the University of Puget Sound, where he graduated with his BA in 1959. He worked for the University of Puget Sound, Frank Russell Investment Company, and the Union Oil Company, to name a but a few. These positions amounted to experience in public relations, sales, and marketing. In addition to his professional experiences, Robert Hunt also actively engaged with the community through the many associations he was affiliated with. This included the Gig Harbor Lions Club, where he served as president, treasurer, and board member, and the Peninsula Athletic Association and the Peninsula Sports Boosters where he was named the 1979 Man of the year. Finally, he served on the Tacoma Community College Peninsula Citizens Advisory Committee and the Tacoma General Hospital Board of Advisors. On October 19, 1981, Mr. Robert E. Hunt Jr. was reappointed as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Community College District No. 22 by John Spellman, Governor.
