Historical Note
The Friends of Tacoma Community College Library were incorporated in 1966, and continued until 2010. The group helped to build the Tacoma Community College Library's collection through donations of money and books from the residents of Tacoma. The organization awarded the John Binns Distinguished Service Award to individuals with significant contributions to the cultural enrichment of the Pacific Northwest.
