Scope and Contents
The records of the Office of Student Engagement contain department files, posters, and photographs of staff and students. Also contains the records of the Associated Students of Tacoma Community College including handbook, status and budget reports, election records, scrapbooks, and the Cronus, a photographic yearbook created between 1966 and 1972.

Historical Note
Most of these materials resulted from the process of student government activities. Tacoma Community College has had an active student government, participating in fairs, events, educational oppprtunties, activities, trips, and public debates. Most of this collection shows the students who were involved in government and documents some of their efforts. This office is known as the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) as of 2016.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Acquisition information for the bulk of the collection is unknown. Braille commencement programs transferred by the Office of Student Engagement in 2023.
Separated Materials
Issues of the Challenge and Cronus have been separated out of this collection and moved to the TCC Archives Special Collections Library.
Administrative Information
Please note that as of 5/2024 this collection has been renamed the Tacoma Community College Office of Student Engagement records from the TCC Office of Student Life records, in order to reflect the change in name of the office and continued accrual of new materials. It has also been renumbered from RG.14 to TCCA-014.
